Behind the Seams: The Journey to Creating the Perfect Riding Jeans

Home/Store/Our blog/Behind the Seams: The Journey to Creating the Perfect Riding Jeans

As a rider, designer, and someone who has spent countless hours in the saddle, I know firsthand the struggle of finding riding jeans that actually fit well, look great, and stand up to the demands of an equestrian lifestyle. Too often, women are forced to choose between style and practicality, comfort and durability—but why not have it all? That’s why I set out to create the perfect pair of riding jeans.

This blog is a behind-the-scenes look at the journey so far—why I’m passionate about this product, the challenges of creating something truly exceptional, and how you, my community, can help shape the final design.

The Vision:

The heart of this project is simple: to design jeans that feel as good as they look.

  • Durable: Strong enough to withstand long hours in the saddle and rugged outdoor work.
  • Stylish: Classic, flattering cuts that work just as well at the bar as they do at the barn.
  • Functional: With real pockets, adjustable fits, and fabrics that move with you.
  • Ethical: Made with sustainable practices, using high-quality materials, and proudly partnering with Australian manufacturers.

I want these jeans to feel like an extension of your lifestyle—something you’ll reach for every day because they meet your needs, reflect your personality, and are built to last.

The Journey So Far:

This process has been both exciting and challenging. I’ve spent countless hours working on:

  • Finding the Right Manufacturer: Partnering with local Queensland (or at least Australian) manufacturers to ensure high-quality, ethically produced garments.
  • Choosing Fabrics: Testing materials that are tough enough for hard work but still breathable, stretchy, and comfortable for all-day wear.
  • Perfecting the Design: Creating the perfect balance of fit, function, and style. Think reinforced stitching, practical pockets, and flattering cuts.

The journey is far from over, but every step has brought us closer to a product I’m truly proud to share.

Your Feedback Matters:

This isn’t just my project—it’s our project. I want to create jeans that YOU love and that work for your unique lifestyle.

What’s most important to you in a pair of riding jeans? Fit? Stretch? Deep pockets? Send me your thoughts in the comments, on social media, or through my website. I’ll take all your feedback to heart as we refine the final designs.

Sneak Peek:

While I can’t share everything just yet, here’s a glimpse into what’s coming:

  • Fabric Samples: Denim blends designed to hold their shape while being flexible and breathable.
  • Features in the Works: Reinforced seams for durability, a high-rise waist for comfort, and deep, functional pockets.
  • Design Highlights: Classic cuts with just a touch of stretch, inspired by the balance of beauty and functionality in equestrian life.

Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing more updates as we move closer to the launch!
